Why We
Started
The observation that became a consultancy.
"The tools exist. The gap is in how they get introduced."
Wawazu came out of a recurring observation: small and mid-sized businesses were not failing to find digital tools. They were failing to make them stick.
The pattern was consistent. A business owner would identify a problem, research solutions, sign up for something, and then struggle to get the team to adopt it. A few months later, the subscription was cancelled and everyone was back to email threads and spreadsheets.
This was not a technology problem. It was an implementation and change problem. And it was happening across industries, across team sizes, and across different types of tools.
Four principles that shape everything we do
Fit over features
A tool with fewer features that your team actually uses is more valuable than a comprehensive platform that sits unused. We prioritise fit over functionality lists.
No unnecessary complexity
If a simpler approach achieves the same outcome, we recommend the simpler approach. Complexity is not a measure of quality. It is often the opposite.
Honest recommendations
We do not have partnerships or referral arrangements that influence what we suggest. Our recommendations are based on what fits your situation.
Gradual change works
Sudden, sweeping changes to how teams work rarely stick. We plan for gradual adoption, building familiarity and confidence before expanding scope.
Against the enterprise playbook
Enterprise software vendors have a playbook: demonstrate maximum features, emphasise scale, create urgency, and sell annual contracts. This works for large organisations with dedicated IT departments and change management budgets.
It does not work for a twelve-person architecture firm or a thirty-person distribution company. The needs are different. The resources are different. The way change happens is different.
We built Wawazu specifically for this context. Not as a scaled-down version of enterprise consulting, but as something designed from the start for the way smaller businesses actually operate.
